Karoline is a specialist in soft beige and pink knitted garments, and has developed a few exclusive colors that you only get here at Unique Yarns. 🙌🏼

Teddy is beautifully toned down on a beige base with brown speckles.

4-ply Pure Merino Wool / DK Pure Merino Wool

Extrafine merino wool is used for this yarn so that it feels soft and gentle on the skin. The yarn is spun with extra long fibers to get a yarn that is flexible and strong with a silky feel. It is incredibly soft and elastic, and the threads are twisted in such a way that it gives extra strength to the yarn.

The yarn can be used for hats, shawls, mittens, and larger garments such as sweaters and cardigans. The yarn is very suitable for children's and baby clothes.

4-ply Reinforced Merino

The extra fine merino wool makes this yarn luxuriously soft and elastic - this can be used directly next to the skin. A little nylon is added for extra durability. The yarn has a mother-of-pearl effect to it, and looks and feels exclusive because it is.

The yarn can be used for socks, shawls, mittens, and larger garments such as sweaters and cardigans. The yarn is very suitable for children's and baby clothes.

We use acid dyes, which are gentle on the environment and provide clear, very durable colors.

Advice when knitting with hand-dyed yarn

Hand-dyed yarn, as the name suggests, is a craft, and there will be differences between skeins. There are a few things that might be good to know before you get started:

There is different ways of using skeins, however when knitting garments, we recommend, as good practice, alternating skeins, it’s not usually essential but it does help to spread colours evenly. The Helix method is our favourite technique when knitting in the round. The more colorvariety in the yarn, the more important. This is explained nicely when knitting in the round in this video, and when you knit back and forth in this video.

If you don't want to knit every other round from different skeins (this is done at your own risk 😉), it is recommended to do this a few rounds when changing yarn. This applies regardless of the color of the yarn.

We want you to get the best possible result on the knitwear you spend a lot of time and resources on. 🥰

Wash and care of garments knitted in hand-dyed yarn
We recommend hand washing followed by a quick spin, or wool wash program temperature 40°C if you trust your washing machine. Use ONLY detergent intended for wool/silk (Milo or such). Feel free to add a little clear vinegar - this helps preserve the colors. Do not soak the garment.

Please note that the yarn may contain excess colour. Therefore, wash separately the first time.

All knitted garments should be stored flat.
