Yarn package for the Marble Sweater from PetiteKnit. We have put together the following yarn options:

- 1 thread Natural Wool (from Hjertegarn) together with 1 threadThick mohair/alpaca (choose from several colors)

Unfortunately, we do not have the rights to sell the recipe, but you can find it here:

If you want to knit the sweater longer than the pattern suggests, either on the body or the sleeves, you must go up a size.

The Marble Sweater is knitted from top to bottom with raglan increases on the yoke. The neck edge is worked down, and shortened needles (turning needles) are worked in the neck to form a neckline.

Knit a test piece to check your knitting tightness before you start. The fewer stitches the knitting density indicates per 10 cm, the more important it is that the knitting strength is respected in order for the sweater to be the right size.😉 If you knit tight(-ish), you may need to go up to needle size. 12 mm.

Size guide

Marble Sweater should have a range of motion (positive ease)of approx. 20 cm in relation to your bust measurement. The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL correspond to a bust measurement, measured on your own body, of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110 -120) 120-130 (130-140) 140-150 cm. The measurements of the finished sweater are indicated on the front of the pattern (note that these measurements only apply if the knitting strength is observed). Measure yourself before you start knitting, to assess which size will suit you best. If you e.g. measures 90 cm around the bust (or the widest part of your torso), you should knit size S. A sweater in size S has an excess width of 109 cm and in the mentioned example will give a range of movement (positive ease) of 19 cm.

More information

Thick mohair/alpaca:

This is truly an exclusive and luxurious Italian yarn. It mainly consists of the finest kid mohair and super fine alpaca, only held together by a little wool andlittle bitnylon. The garments knitted from this yarn are wonderfully light and soft, and warm very well in relation to their weight.

Mohair's ability to retain heat is approximately twice that of wool. This yarn produces thick, but at the same time light garments, with a lovely halo effect. It can be usefully knitted on thick needles (5 mm and up).

Nature Wool from Hjertegarn is a rustic, thick and warm yarn. The yarn is one of the best-selling yarns from Hjertegarn of all time and is suitable, among other things, for everything from sweaters to scarves, hats and ponchos for both children and adults. In addition, the yarn is thick and can be used for crocheting cloths, as well as for felting..

A strong, but at the same time a lovely and soft yarn, with many good properties that we know from pure wool.
