Yarn package for Jenny Sweater from PetiteKnit. With this yarn option, the jumper is knitted in 1 thread Thin pure merino wool together with 1 thread Lace mohair/silk. Unfortunately, we do not have the rights to sell the recipe, but you can find it here:
If you want to knit the sweater longer than the pattern suggests, either on the body or the sleeves, you must go up a size.
The Jenny Sweater is knitted in the round from the bottom up in smock knit with raglan folds. The bodice and sleeves are knitted separately, after which they are gathered on the same circular needle, and the shoulder piece is knitted. The neck is knitted back and forth on the needle, and the neckline is shaped by running stitches. The neckline is finally worked on from picked up stitches.
Knit a test piece to check your knitting tightness before you start.
Jenny Sweater should have a range of motion (positive ease)of approx. 19 cm in relation to your bust measurement. The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) correspond to a bust measurement, measured on your own body, of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110- 120) 120-130 (130-140) cm. The measurements of the finished sweater are indicated on the front of the pattern. Measure yourself before you start knitting, to assess which size will suit you best. If you e.g. measures 90 cm around the bust (or the widest part of your torso), you should knit size S. A sweater in size S has an excess width of 109 cm and in the mentioned example will give a range of movement (positive ease) of 19 cm. If you are between two sizes, it is recommended to choose the smallest size, as smock knit will grow a little with use.

Thin pure merino wool
Extrafine merino wool is used for this yarn so that it feels soft and gentle on the skin. The yarn is spun with extra long fibers to produce a yarn that is flexible and strong with a silky feel and shine. It is incredibly soft and elastic, and the threads are twisted in such a way that it gives extra strength to the yarn.
100% extrafine merino wool, superwash treated
Mohair's softness depends primarily on the quality of the fibers. Superkid mohair comes from the first sorting, and is the softest and thinnest fibers you get from the mohair goat. The second sort is usually what is called kid mohair, and is also soft, but not as soft as the superkid mohair. Superkid mohair can be used close to the skin, and provides incredibly light and airy garments. The silk gives the yarn a lovely, exclusive mother-of-pearl sheen.
The yarn is thin, so it is very suitable as a companion thread for e.g. many of PetiteKnit's designs. This yarn is well suited for ego knitting and children's knitting.
