Handdyed yarn in colors inspired by the shades of the sea.

If you want Thin mohair/silk in matching color, you can find it here .

The extra fine merino wool makes this yarn luxuriously soft and elastic, so it can be used directly next to the skin. A little nylon is added for extra durability and dimensional stability. The yarn has a mother-of-pearl effect to it, and looks and feels exclusive because it is.

The yarn can be used for socks, shawls, mittens, and larger garments such as sweaters and cardigans. The yarn is very suitable for children's and baby clothes.

The yarn is dyed with acid dyes , which is gentle on the environment and gives clear, very durable colors.

The ropes in the picture are representative of the color, but are not necessarily the same rope(s) you as the buyer will receive. Variations in color intensity can occur and are part of the charm of hand-dyed yarn. However, you can be sure that you will receive yarn from the same dyeing in your order.

Recommendations when knitting with hand-dyed yarn

Hand-dyed yarn is, as the name suggests, a craft, and there will be small differences from one yarn to another. That means there are some things that might be good to know before you get started:

We recommend knitting with two skeins and switching between them every other round . The purpose of this is to camouflage any color differences in the yarn, and avoid color pooling . The more play of colors and different colors in the yarn, the more important this is. Kimmie Munkholm shows this nicely when you knit around in this video , and when you knit back and forth in this video .

If you do not want to knit every other round with two skeins (this is done at your own risk 😉), it is in any case recommended to do this in a few rounds when switching to a new skein. This applies regardless of whether you change the yarn along the way or not, and regardless of the color of the yarn.

We want you to get the best possible result on the knitted garment you spend a lot of time and resources on. 🥰

Washing and care of garments knitted in hand-dyed yarn

We recommend hand washing followed by a short spin, or wool program at 40°C if you trust your washing machine. Use ONLY detergent intended for wool/silk (Milo or equivalent). Feel free to add a little clear vinegar to the water - it helps preserve the colors. Do not leave the garment soaked.

Please note that the yarn may contain excess colour. Therefore, wash separately the first time.

Knitwear should be dried flat and stored lying down.
